Altha Peters married Sam Foster, her master's name was Frank Foxworth. Frank Foxworth has a child by Altha Peters. (During this time of slavery it was very common for enslavers to rape and routinely have sex with the enslaved girls / women.)  Frank's father's name was Steven Foxworth (he had seven sons and Frank was one of them)  Steven came from Holland and settled in North Carolina in 1782, after which he moved to Columbus Mississippi.  Frank in the tradition of his father, continuing "family business", moved across the river from Columbus Mississippi and established a new community called Foxworth.  This community still exist today.

Emmanuel, the son of Frank and Altha was born in 1863 (during the Reconstruction Era) and considered to be a free-born Black man as the son of his Master.  Emmanuel moved to the Tylertown Area of Mississippi and he became very prosperous as a farmer.  He owned approximately 1800 acres of land; he owned a cotton gin; he owned a Gristmill used to process corn; he owned a sawmill which processed  lumber, and quite a bit more.  When the local government said he hadn't paid his debt, they offered up all of his property to the highest bidder.  In 1910 the local government foreclosed on all his property.  This move by the local government was illegal because Emmanuel did not owe any money.  It is documented that Emmanuel did in fact take out a loan once, at which  point he had to mortgage everything he owned (that was local policy), And also documented, consistent with  the  loan, was the payment schedule and when it was finally paid off, (Those documents and more are currently in the procession of the Foxworth Family).

Emmanuel some twenty years earlier, in the late 1880's, married a woman named Evelina, Evelina died in 1918, the same year the government forclosed on all their property.  From their union, 11 children were born; Alcus, Altha, Ester, E.M. (Youngest), Estel, Fleety, Fletchie (oldest), Glossy (baby girl), Harace, Lyso, and Shedrick (second oldest).

After the devastation in Tylertown, Emmanuel moved to Magnolia, Mississippi then moved up to the Delta where he had to mow rent property.  He later went back to Tylertown where he died and was buried (an exact location of his burial is not known at the time, as records of death were not kept as precisely as records such as business and marriage).

Those children of Evelina nd Emmanuel went on to have children, their children had children, their children's children , and their children's children's children have gone on to have children as the story and legacy continues. Many of the great-grand children great-great-grandchildren and great-great0treatgreandchildrenof Evelina and Emmanuel are alive and well continuing  a tradition of family and business that would make our Ancestor's proud.
